Just for some fun, during Hiu’s photo shoot, I’ve set a camera on a tripod nearby and kept snapping away during the whole portrait session. Here’s the time lapse video for our entire shoot from setup to end.
Interestingly, last month when I had a day off, my good friend, Hiu from Maybe Refuge/Violet and Viruses and I drove all the way up on Kennedy Rd to its very northern end and decided to do a shoot there. Originally we were going to scout for places for our upcoming band promo shoot for one of his bands, Maybe Refuge but we decided that day is good for testing some shots out. Instead of doing having a mind set of “this is a test for a band shoot”, I decided to make it a little fun and try different things. Here we were, at the end of Kennedy, walking through trails and woods and decided it was not worth it to bring all the equipment in and get our fleshes bitten all over by mosquitoes, so we decided our shoot right on Kennedy Rd!
It’s pretty amazing how people meet each other. Some people meet their friends through school, work, at a bar, or other sort of social events. Perhaps for me, it would be easier as I meet all sort of nice people, unique people, and especially fun couples through photography. I met Hannah and Albert last year and I’m sure glad I did. Last sunday afternoon, we had a pretty sunny engagement session. Originally we wanted to perform the engagement shoot in downtown Toronto. Yet again, because of the G20 summit, we had to change places at the last minute. Nonetheless, we walked thorough many streets and explored a totally new area around Yonge and Major Mackenzie, finding all sort of interesting places to take some photos, chill and chat for a bit. One of most peculiar places we came across was a park, named Ransom Park!
Here are a few of my favourite photos from the day.
From Ransom Park!
It’ll be three more months till the wedding day, but I’m already eager for that day to come faster!
